"My goal as a person is to glorify my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by my attitude towards others and the quality of my work.
   My goal as a needlework designer is to create classic counted designs that are a pleasure to stitch and clear concise charts that are easy to stitch from. In my designs I explore all types of counted needlework. By combining a variety of counted grounds and a wide variety of threads I hope to create a body of work that will appeal to all stitchers.
   My goal as a needlework teacher is to provide my students with whatever support they need to attain their own goals as needleworkers. By providing clear step-by-step instructions; color, stitch, and design choices; and a class atmosphere conducive to learning and enjoyment I hope to enable each student to reach whatever level she has set for herself".

   Vicki Schofield, designer and owner of A Stitch and a Prayer, is dedicated to creating interesting and challenging designs that feature Christian and family themes. All of Vicki's samplers include a verse of Scripture, an inspirational quote or an emphasis on family.

   Additionally, Vicki's designs showcase a variety of counted thread techniques and materials, including overdyed and metallic fibers, beads and other embellishments.

   Brenda E. Kocher Designs are original elegant canvaswork and silk gauze embroidery designs, which showcase a variety of textured stitches and utilize a wide assortment of specialty threads including Italian silks, overdyes, linens, cottons, DMC, and Anchor threads.

    Each design is written in book form and includes comprehensive instructions as well as level of expertise: Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced stitching level. Finishing ideas for the designs are included such as wall hangings, mirror inserts, trays, and firescreens.
